Stanley H. Teitelbaum, TI faculty member and supervisor, has published a new book - Sports Heroes, Fallen Idols: How Star Athletes Pursue Self-Destructive Paths and Jeopardize Their Careers, University of Nebraska Press. It is available where books are sold.







Stephen J. O'Connell, Esq., a former member of TI's Trustees and a Managing Partner at Hartman & Craven, LLP, will be heading the agency's newly constituted Professional Advisory Board. The Board will be comprised of leaders from the corporate sector who are dedicated to TI's mission, and wish to increase the agency's fundraising, promotional, and marketing capacities. Joining Stephen on the Board, which is in the process of formation, is Stephen Cadwalader (Jason McCoy Galleries), Susan Lucas (Morgan Stanley), Albert Messina (Silvercrest Asset Management), Dennis O'Brien (Merrill Lynch), and Debra Resnick, (Hartman & Craven). Acting as the liaison between the new Professional Advisory Board and the Trustees will be Peace Sullivan, MSW. Stephen O'Connell Will Head TI's New Professional Advisory Board.





On September 29th, Anna Keefe, Ph.D., Director of Training for TI, and Wilma Cohen Lewis, Ph.D., TI faculty member and supervisor, announced to a gathering of faculty and staff and students at TI the establishment of a new Women's Center (WCTI). Its mission will be dedicated to the understanding of women's development throughout the life cycle, within a relational and cultural psychoanalytic framework. Through workshops, lectures, and panel discusses, WCTI will aim to education and broaden the professional and lay community's awareness of women's issues.



Eva Fogelman, Ph.D., and Peace Sullivan, MSW, Director of Development at TI, recently co-hosted a special evening for the Counseling Center for Women based in Ramat Gan and Jerusalem, Israel. The Counseling Center for Women in Israel trained 1000 female soldiers to assist in the disengagement process in Gaza. They are continuing to do follow up work with the soldiers as well. TI held its annual New Student Reception on September 13th. TI faculty, staff, and Board members were pleased to meet these exciting candidates. Our first year students include:
