Support TI
The Training Institute for Mental Health (TIMH, or TI) relies on the generosity of its donor partners - foundations, corporations, and individuals - to do its important work in the community. Thanks to this support, TI has been able, since its start as a nonprofit organization in 1961, to meet the mission of providing high quality, low-fee counseling to low-income men, women, teens and families in crisis, while offering advanced training in psychoanalysis to emerging mental health professionals.
Here are several ways you can make a financial contribution to TI. By doing so, you will join with others who believe that the services TI provides are vital to helping people in need work through difficult emotional issues and move on to healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Support TI's Clinic - The Sarah A. Meehan Center
Serving more than 500 low-income individuals per year, the Sarah A. Meehan Center offers patients the opportunity to work closely with a psychotherapist at sliding-scale fees far below market rate.
Support TI's Training Program
TI is a center of psychoanalytic study, offering emerging mental health professionals the opportunity to build and hone their skills as therapists through a unique and highly-successful fellowship program.
Support TI's Move
After many years at our prior office location, moving to a new space, along with expanding our online presence, comes with expense. It is our hope that you and others who believe in TI and our mission, might consider a financial gift at this time. Your donation will help us successfully make this transition. More, it will help to ensure our stability and ability moving forward to meet the mental health needs in New York City.
