The Training Institute for Mental Health (TI) provides high-quality, affordable psychotherapy services to more than 500 low-income New Yorkers each year, helping men and women, teens and older adults, and couples in crisis overcome emotional problems that are impeding their ability to enjoy life and reach their full potential.

TI also offers emerging mental health professionals advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy in combination with clinical supervision, a blend of education and support that helps them move to successful, rewarding careers in the mental health field.

Because TI does not receive funding from government sources, our services and programs, valued by so many, are dependent on the spirit of volunteerism that permeates the agency, on grants from charitable foundations and corporations, gifts from individuals, and donations to special events, like the Annual Benefit.

At this year's event, TI is honoring Joan Erdheim, Ph.D., for her decades of service and support to the agency and the mental health field.  TI is also presenting the  "Paula Fortunato Award" to David Munson for his outstanding contributions as a staff member to the agency.

We thank you for supporting this event, and for making TI's work possible.
