This has been a challenging year for TI, and for everyone, and we are immensely grateful to all those who have helped us since the start of the pandemic with donations.
Thanks to our generous funders, TI has been able to continue its work with patients and its training of mental health professionals, along with providing outstanding lectures and workshops to the public. We've done all this remotely, and while we have been able to maintain safety and do our part to help end the pandemic, we have also met our mission of meeting important mental health needs in our community.
To celebrate this achievement, and also to recognize the enormous sacrifices so many have made to help TI and other helping organizations in our area, we will be holding our 2021 Annual Benefit, via Zoom, on June 10th, at 7 pm.
It is our hope you can support this event and TI. Tickets are $100; You can also, of course, donate more if you like, at whatever level you feel appropriate. We will send Zoom invite link to all ticket buyers weeks before the event.
Our goal, of course, is to raise funds desperately needed to sustain our services, but more to bring together our community for a shared experience of friendship and joy to be together.
We will be honoring at the event Lee Kramer, TI's former Executive Director, who has now transitioned to be a Trustee of the agency.
We'll also be holding a talent show! Performing with her partner will be Sandra Antognazzi. Born and raised in Argentina, her professional career spans over two decades in performance, choreography and teaching. According to the New York Times, “Sandra Antognazzi’s strikingly quiet, powerful presence made each stretched calligraphic pose count...”
Oscar Feldman and his band will provide music for the three dances Sandra and her partner will perform. Known for his splendid tonalities and melodically outstanding songs, the Argentinian native demonstrates his superb skills on alto, tenor and soprano saxes, while employing a wide range of Pan-American references, from tango to candombe to samba to mambo. The source of Feldman's ease at crossing musical genres is his eclectic musical education.
Many thanks in advance for your support! We hope to see you on June 10th!
