Dear TI Community,

We are thrilled to announce the name and mission of our newest center!

The Coalition for Social Justice at TIMH is a committee of both staff and candidates who are committed to inviting, holding and expanding the conversations and considerations of how injustice impacts our community and psychoanalytic work. We aim to provide opportunities to educate and explore how our commitment to social justice, anti-racism, and diversity is of vital importance in the field of mental health.

If you are interested in joining our committee, please let us know no later than 2/15 by emailing Jamie or Kristin. After this date, the committee will become a closed group to allow for deeper study, discussion, and processing of articles, films, books, somatic practices, and more that will assist us in furthering our mission.

In addition to hosting events, speakers and workshops, we are excited to announce we will be offering a monthly Sustaining Dialogues group open to the TI community (staff, students and alum). We will be sending out information about our first Sustaining Dialogues meeting in the coming days. You will also be able to find out more information about the coalition on our page on the TI website as well as Upcoming Events and resources (coming soon) at timh.org/coalition-for-social-justice

In solidarity,

Jamie Lacy
